Here are some shocking and unknown facts about the veteran Bollywood actor –Rajiv Kapoor was the youngest among the five children of Bollywood’s legendary actor Raj Kapoor. This actor was born on 25th of August, 1962 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He was called fondly, Chimpu, by all the Kapoor family members. This actor completed his schooling from the Our Lady of Perpetual Succour School, which is at Chembur. He got married in the year 2001 with Aarti Sabharwal but unfortunately, they got divorced in 2003, within 2 years of marriage. Before his Bollywood debut, Rajiv Kapoor worked as an assistant director too. He worked as assistant director in movies like Prem Rog and Biwi O Biwi. This veteran actor of Bollywood started his Bollywood career in the year 1983 with Ek Jaan Hai Hum. This movie starred Rajiv Kapoor’s uncle Shammi Kapoor and actor Divya Rana and actress Tanuja. Rajiv Kapoor was also casted by his father, Raj Kapoor, in his last directorial Ram Teri Ganga Maili in 1985. Rajiv Kapoor made his directorial debut in 1996, with Prem Granth which starred Madhuri Dixit and Rishi Kapoor. This actor had also produced several movies, like Aa Ab Laut Chalen, Henna and Prem Granth. Henna was Rajiv Kapoor’s first movie as a producer which was directed by none other than Randhir Kapoor and starred Rishi Kapoor.
