This is the motivation behind making a film, said Nagraj Manjule, a well-known film director, who wanted to share his experiences with others. Manjule spoke to the audience about his filmmaking process. His short film "Rain Essay" was screened at the festival. To writers, poets, artists, rain seem romantic, but the rain, I saw, was a monster, not a doer. That's what I tried to show in this short film, he said. Directors Utpal Kalal and Shibkumar Sharma also commented on their respective processes of filmmaking.
