A taskforce led by Changi Airport and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAAS) announced on Dec 8 that its air cargo hub can handle 300,000 tonnes of pharmaceutical goods at low temperatures. Its key players such as Singapore Airlines and ground handler SATS can handle temperature-sensitive products such as vaccines securely, even those that need temperatures as cold as -75°C.
